The
Australian Handball Federation receives many offers and enquiries from
people all over the world seeking to come and play, coach, referee or
work for handball in Australia. Many of them are seeking paid work and
would seek a working visa based on any “offers” from the AHF.
The AHF
welcomes any person from another country to join us as players, coaches,
referees, etc. However, the Australian Handball Federation does not
have the means to employ anyone and cannot act as a guarantor for anyone
from overseas.
In addition, as handball is an amateur sport in Australia, it is
unlikely that it could provide adequate income to sustain those who are
keen to be involved with the sport. It would be necessary, therefore,
for anyone coming to Australia to prove that they can support themselves
some other way.
This
website contains links to all member States where information about
State contacts, competitions, clubs, etc can be found. It should be
noted that it is very hard for people to emigrate to or to get working
visas to Australia. It is best to seek advice from an Australian
Consular office in your own country prior to deciding to come to
Australia or to visit the relevant Australian Government website for
information.
The AHF
wishes to thank those who have made enquiries for their interest in
Australian handball and we wish them well in their areas of endeavour.
