 The
Australian Handball Federation [AHF] is pleased to announce that Mark
Dawson [of Queensland Handball] has been selected by the International
Handball Federation as a Delegate for the Beach Handball World
Championships to be held in Oman.
As a Delegate, Mark will
assume the role of a Technical Official for the tournament on the desk
to do scorekeeping, timekeeping and other tasks necessary while the
games are on. After the matches, the Technical Officials
also
control the score sheet and ensure all required signatures are on it;
deliver the score sheet to the Competition Management; talk with the
referees; make a short report on referees’ performance to the IHF
official responsible for the referees and write reports to the
Competition Management (if necessary).
It is worth noting that this is the first time that an Australian has
been a Delegate for Beach Handball World Championships.
The AHF congratulates Mark on his involvement in this significant
handball event. His experience in the world championship will no doubt
benefit beach handball in Australia. |
