Sponsorship Agreement With Hummel

The Australian Handball Federation is extremely pleased to announce that it has concluded a sponsorship agreement with one of the leading sports and leisurewear companies in the world – ‘hummel’.

The agreement has been reached with hummel International A/S and its Australian licence partner Concept Sports International and is effective immediately and will continue at least until 30 June 2009.

The deal will see all National Teams exclusively wearing hummel for the next four years. The first National Team to turn out in the new hummel equipment will be the Australian Women’s Team when they play their first match of the 2005 World Championships on 5 December 2005.

There are many mutual benefits to the contract and in conjunction with hummel International and Concept Sports International the AHF hopes to assist with hummel’s desire to expand into the Australian Market. The AHF encourages all Australian handball players, clubs and teams to use hummel equipment and would love to see hummel become THE handball brand in Australia.

The AHF would also like to acknowledge the role of the recently appointed Men’s National Coach – Morten Fjeldstad – in concluding the deal. Morten’s involvement was instrumental.
